I like the sound, it reminds me a bit of a song by Alstroemeria Records called Evolve 60, as well as a couple other of his songs from that time. It gets a little repetitive. I found my self wanting to skip through, but I'm sure I wouldn't notice if this was playing in the background.

I've heard many songs here where someone tries to copy the ZUN sound. Sometimes they even have the whole Edirol. I've never been impressed. But this one, this sounds like a ZUN song. Whatever you did, you did it right, and you're the only one I've seen on here thats able to do it.

I'm ashamed to say this when you're so proud of this song but its not quite Touhou 6 until the very end with the trumpets. Zunpets were the huge change that made 6, 7, and 8 so iconic. What this sounds a whole lot like though is Seihou. (If you aren't aware of Seihou, its a bullet hell series ZUN made the music for between the retro and classic windows era.)
I really like the sound of the Seihou songs, but I don't really like the melodies and song structures of most of them. So, the fact that you made one with a good melody and structure is (IMO) the real pride of this song. And don't get the wrong idea about this. Its a good song. I usually hide my scores regardless of what I rate but I'm not in order to emphasize this.

Fantasyck responds:

Nah, don't worry, I think I get what you're saying. Touhou, Seihou... either way, hearing that I nailed the "early ZUN MIDI music" vibe means a lot, and I'm glad you enjoyed the way the song played out (even if it's technically based off of a pre-existing song lol). Thanks for the kind words!

The beginning sounds like a touhou song with the chord progression, but it starts to shift the the sound of a modern era song, which IMO doesn't have the touhou feel. It has the notes of a chill bgm track but the drums and maybe the sounds make it too high energy to really be bgm. I don't know your intention with the song but I just judged it as if it were an attempt to create a song that sounds like it is either A) a song from touhou or B) a cover of a song from touhou.

this does not have boss energy (especially not touhou boss, there no "theme" or musically coherent melody for that matter), the main synth sounds really out of sync, and it sounds super empty. Maybe this is what you were going for though, as I obviously don't know anything about this game you're working on.

Winkwing responds:

The idea was that Hiyu would be a cold-hearted snob that would attack slowly, but when she would attack they would be relentless and huge. It was also made to try and reflect her lack of care for anyone's feelings, hence the empty feeling the song has. Glad it worked!

I like the energy and music ideas in this song but I feel like the sound is a little empty. Maybe that's what you were going for though.

unfortunately accounts made after 2017 can't have their songs in geometry dash for some reason. (I think it had something to do with too many people creating accounts just to upload some song they didn't create and then someone would scout them anyway.)
Anyway, as far as this piece goes, it sounds good, but so many piano versions of this song exist that it is really hard to confirm whether this is original too. To be honest, I think it is original but like the other guy said, make a few more.

Edit: yeah I know you didn't make bad apple but I mean I also don't know if you made this piano version or just found it. And then the question is whether or not you played it by hand if you did only find it.

MissingCat responds:

This piano music is not original, it is another version of a Touhou music
Edit: i played it by hand

Definitely sounds like Touhou. Actually, it sounds like it could be a remaster of a Seihou song.

Despite having listened to touhou music for almost 3 years, it wasn't until like last month that I heard Cirno's Perfect Math Class (or any of IOSYS) and those little rifs (or whatever theyre called) between the melody lines around the beginning are amazing and I love them.

As someone who loves pc-98 Touhou music, this caught my attention. Still love it!

Darksynth, Horrorsynth, and Cyberpunk Musician. I mostly do Touhou arranges.
I'm also open for collabs/commissions.
